Before the operation:
- Your doctor will ask you about your current and past medical condition, what medications and supplements you are taking and what surgery you have had before.
- The doctor examines and takes pictures of the breasts, and determines the appropriate surgical procedure for them.
- Discuss with your doctor your expectations and hopes for the operation and what end result you desire.
- You should refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol for at least 30 days before the procedure.
- Fasting completely for 8 hours before the procedure.
About the operation:
The operation is performed either under local or general anesthesia, depending on what the doctor determines. In this process, either salt fillers or silicones are used.
The doctor makes an incision in one of the following areas: (under the breast, under the arm, or around the nipple).
The doctor places the fillings either between the breast tissue and chest muscles or behind the chest muscle. (This will be discussed with you during the consultation.)
Upon completion, the doctor sews the incision and puts on the bandages
The procedure usually takes 2 hours.
After the operation:
- The results of the operation appear immediately after the operation is over, however, you have to wait until the edema goes away to see the final shape.
- It is necessary to follow the doctor’s instructions on how to take care of the area of the operation.
- Adhere to wearing a sports bra and compression dress to reduce swelling and keep the fillers in place.
- Avoid intense physical and sports activities for several weeks.
- Avoid intercourse for several weeks.
