About the operation:
Breast fat injection is performed under local or general anesthesia. The doctor extracts fat with a suction needle from specific areas of the body such as the abdomen, hips, thighs or back and re-injects fat into the breast after purification to give it a plump appearance. The doctor injects and distributes fat in equal amounts into the breasts for an optimal result. The process takes about an hour in most cases.
Before the operation:
- Your doctor will discuss with you the options that are right for you and explain the surgical plan.
- Your doctor will ask you about your current and past medical condition, the medications and supplements you are taking as well as any surgery you have had previously.
- Your doctor examines and takes pictures of your breasts, so you can compare your appearance before and after surgery.
- Discuss with your doctor your expectations and hopes for the operation and what end result you want.
- You should refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol for at least 30 days before the procedure.
- Fasting completely for 8 hours before the procedure.
After the operation:
After the operation, bandages are applied to the breasts and the patient can leave the hospital on the same day. It is recommended that the patient wear a bra or compression garments after the operation to speed up the healing process.
Refrain from strenuous physical and sports activities and intercourse for several weeks.
