The dental implant process takes several months since it goes through several stages where the wounds need to heal and wait for bone growth.

The first stage is the placement of the metal implant: 

The patient goes under local anesthesia; the doctor makes an incision in the gums, and then makes a hole in the jawbone where he will implant the metal implant that will serve as the root of the tooth. After implanting the implant in the jawbone, the doctor closes the incision.  This procedure takes 10 to 30 minutes, without feeling any pain.

A temporary dental crown may be used for functional needs so the place is not left empty. 

The second stage is jawbone fusion:

This stage takes several months, during which the bone around the implant grows, creating a solid base for the teeth where the bone combines with titanium.

The third stage is the placement of the dental support:  After the fusion of the implant with the jawbone is complete, the doctor reopens the gums and installs the stent in the metal implant.  He re-closes the gums, and the patient waits two weeks for the gum tissue around the stent to heal. 

The fourth stage is the selection of artificial teeth:  After the gums are healed, prints are taken for the mouth and teeth. These prints will be used to make the crown, which is an artificial tooth that resembles a real tooth in its shape completely and is fixed above the stent.

You may need several sessions at your dentist to get the desired result.  The first session is to consult and examine the condition of your teeth, suggest the appropriate procedure for you and discuss the result you desire.

The second session is for preparation. The length of this phase depends on the condition of your teeth and whether they need to be built with fillings.

The doctor files a very thin layer of tooth enamel (depending on the size of the veneers to be installed) so that the tooth does not look bulky after the installation. 

He then starts taking measurements of your teeth in order to form veneers, by using a paste-like substance to make a mold for your teeth from inside your mouth.  

The third session is installation; the doctor installs the veneers on your teeth and makes sure they fit the desired size and color.

After the patient approves the final form, the doctor begins to prepare the teeth for installation by cleaning them, applying the adhesive, and fixing the veneers permanently.
