Arm lift

Significant weight loss or aging affects the elasticity and thickness of the skin in men and women. However, women are more likely to sag and lose skin elasticity due to factors such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, and hormone changes. The most sagging area of the body is the arms because the arms lose their taut appearance and become saggy causing an undesirable appearance. The optimal cosmetic procedure for this problem is the arm lift that restores to the skin its youthful former appearance and removes sagging skin and accumulated fat.

Our Surgeries

Book an Appointment

Before the operation:

  • Your doctor will ask you about your current and past medical condition, the medications and supplements you are taking as well as any surgery you have had previously.
  • Your doctor examines and takes pictures of your arms to determine the appropriate surgical procedure for them.
  • Discuss with your doctor your expectations and hopes for the operation and what end result you desire.
  • You should refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol for at least 30 days before the procedure.
  • Fasting completely for 8 hours before the procedure.

About the process:

The doctor initially makes incisions in the lower part of the arms.

The length and shape of these incisions are determined based on the amount of skin to be removed.

After making the incisions, the doctor tightens the underlying tissue and attaches it to the stitches. Your doctor may also need to perform liposuction on the arms.

After that, the skin is wrapped on the new lines and the excess skin is removed. The doctor uses stitches to close the incisions

After the operation:

After the operation, the incisions are covered. In addition, the arms are wrapped loosely with elastic bandages to reduce swelling.

It is possible to place small tubes in the arms to drain any excess blood or fluids. Sometimes the doctor may ask the patient to wear compression sleeves for several weeks to relieve swelling.

In the first days after the arm lift:

  • Avoid raising your arms above shoulder level for three to four weeks.
  • Avoid any strenuous physical or athletic activity for four to eight weeks after surgery.
  • Take painkillers when needed and use topical or oral antibiotics as directed by your doctor to prevent wound infections.
